Support Ashe County Families Devastated by Hurricane Helene

How You Can Help: Every dollar you donate will stay within Ashe County, going directly to families who need it most. The folks who run Stomp & Brew and Shoes for Kids live and work in Ashe County - they have been personally affected by Hurricane Helene. We've already been inundated with requests from families, and with your help, we can ensure their needs are met - today, tomorrow, and in the months to come.

We are a local non-profit that has worked to support the families of Ashe County for the past 6 years. With the recent devastation from Hurricane Helene, many of our neighbors, friends, and families have lost everything—their homes, livelihoods, and basic necessities. We are working tirelessly to ensure that 100% of the proceeds raised stay in Ashe County to help those in need.

In partnership with Shoes for Kids, which provides shoes for children to families in need, we have now expanded our focus to address the urgent needs of Hurricane Helene victims. Although we have already distributed shoes for the fall, the hurricane’s destruction means many children will now need even more support.

What We're Doing:

Immediate Relief:

We’ve begun using funds from our Stomp & Brew event to provide families with essential items such as gas cards for generators, backpacks filled with food for children, and Walmart gift cards to help buy clothes and other necessities.

Shoes for Kids:

Although we’ve already distributed shoes this fall, many children who have lost everything will need additional pairs, and Shoes for Kids is working to meet this increased demand.

Long-Term Support:

This is just the beginning of what will be a long recovery process. Families will need ongoing support for months, and we are committed to providing help long after the immediate crisis has passed.

Supporting Farmers:

Local farmers have seen their crops and livestock feed washed away, leaving them without the means to care for their animals. We are working to provide resources for these families as they rebuild their farms.
